PlayCo delivered a contemporary, all-ages replacement playground at Birdwood Square, relocated to accommodate additional park infrastructure and shaped through consultation with the local primary school to reflect community needs.

Our team was engaged to deliver the replacement of a well-used 25-year-old playground at Birdwood Square, creating a contemporary, all-ages play space in a new location to accommodate additional park infrastructure. A consultative approach was undertaken, including engagement with students from the local primary school, to inform a design that reflects community needs and preferences.

The new playground incorporates a range of play equipment suited to different age groups, with accessible rubber surfacing, interactive panels and freestanding elements supporting inclusive play. Shade sails and thoughtful layout planning ensure usability throughout the day, particularly for school and community use.

Working closely with Council, the design retained existing trees and site character, incorporating reused natural elements and maintaining access across the reserve. The completed space now provides a safe, accessible and highly valued destination for the local community.

Inclusions:

  • Supply and installation of play equipment
