PlayCo upgraded the outdoor fitness offering at Waikiki Foreshore for the City of Rockingham, replacing ageing infrastructure with a refreshed, accessible space focused on functionality, safety and long-term durability within a high-use coastal reserve.
Fitness by the coast
Our team was engaged by the City of Rockingham to upgrade the outdoor fitness offering at Waikiki Foreshore, with a focus on improving functionality, safety and longterm durability within a high-use coastal reserve. The project responded to ageing infrastructure and the need for a refreshed, accessible space that supports a broad range of users.
Works included removal of existing softfall, followed by earthworks, service locating and installation of temporary fencing to maintain a safe construction environment. A new suite of outdoor fitness equipment was then installed, catering to varying abilities and exercise types. Rubber surfacing and concrete kerbing were incorporated to provide a durable, low-maintenance finish suited to coastal conditions
The completed facility delivers a modern and cohesive fitness node that enhances the foreshore and supports ongoing community use and active lifestyles.
