Compliance built into every design
Every PlayCo product is assessed against the relevant Australian Standard before manufacture begins, not checked for compliance after the fact. Our engineering and design team uses CAD software to develop equipment that is structurally sound and purpose-built for its environment, with compliance treated as a design input rather than a final hurdle.
Playground standards
PlayCo playground equipment is manufactured to meet, and in many cases exceed, the following Australian Standards as a minimum:
- AS 4685:2021 “Playground Equipment” (set)
- AS 4685.0:2017 “Playground equipment and surfacing – Development, installation, inspection, maintenance and operation”
- AS 4422 (Int):2022 “Playground surfacing” Specifications, requirements and test method
Outdoor fitness standards
Our outdoor fitness equipment, including the ParkFit range, is manufactured to AS 16630:2021 “Permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment – Safety requirements and test methods”, the Australian Standard specific to permanently installed, freely accessible outdoor gym and fitness equipment.
Compliant by design
Because PlayCo manufactures in-house rather than through outsourced suppliers, compliance with Australian Standards is integrated directly into our production process. This reduces the risk of non-conforming components reaching site and means our quality systems can provide the documented assurance councils and organisations need for procurement, compliance reporting and asset management.
