Spring Farm Public School
PlayCo was engaged to design, supply and construct a new playground at Spring Farm Public School, transforming an existing grass embankment into a functional, engaging space for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The 360m² area was carefully planned to make the most of the site while placing inclusive and sensory play outcomes front and centre.
Every element of the space was considered against the site’s existing conditions, ensuring the finished playground felt purpose-built rather than retrofitted. The result is a play environment that welcomes every student, whatever their ability, and gives the whole school community a space they’ll use every single day.
The scope covered excavation and groundworks, drainage and edging, and the placement of softfall and artificial grass to keep the space safe and hardwearing. The play equipment includes enclosed slides, ground-level activity panels and musical elements, giving students a broad range of physical and sensory experiences to explore. Shade sails and water stations were added to keep the space comfortable and practical throughout the school day.
The finished playground is a well-integrated, accessible space that supports active learning, social interaction and everyday school use.
